God's Avenger Michael, The Imprecatory Angel

A movie in the making, "God's Avenger Michael, The Imprecatory Angel" written by Daniel John Gura is a exciting, gripping and fascinating read. This pro-life Christian fiction novel will touch your heart and cause you to ponder one of today's most controversial and profound issues - the lives of the unborn. A fiction novel that is interwoven with life, truth and realities of monumental proportion.

The author's writing style will keep you hanging on the edge of your seat coupled with an expectancy of what the next page, character or chapter will bring. There are no idle sections to be found in this book which flows from one page to the next. You will not be able to put the book down as each situation unfolds and the next is birthed. The book is captivating and engaging as the author portrays the righteousness of God being inflicted upon the evil and wickedness of mankind through this Imprecatory Angel, Michael.

Each character comes to life in this fast paced novel as the author describes each scene with real intensity and real-life drama. As each situation unfolds, the book reads like an action movie on paper. The author makes you feel as if you are right there with the characters as they try to unravel the unfolding mysteries of the disasters happening around them. From rumors to hypotheticals, something is unfolding beyond the natural with the supernatural taking the forefront.

Just as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were spared in Old Testament times with all unharmed 'without even the smell of smoke' on their clothing or a scratch on their persons. Just like the plagues of Moses that were unleashed on Egypt in biblical times, this book has supernatural, righteous judgement and justice woven all through the mesmerizing pages, all the while bringing praise and glory to God.

This is a timely and important piece of work addressing one of today's most controversial issues - saving the lives of the unborn. After reading this book, one must come to the conclusion of considering the life of the unborn to be to monumental to just sit down and remain silent. This pro-life novel reveals God's justice that is magnificent in scope, supernatural in nature and just as evil was destroyed back in Old Testament times, the author reveals, God still hears the imprecatory prayers of his Saints and answers prayers with a righteous cause. Good triumphs over evil in this magnificently written novel, while lives are forever changed in the process.

A highly recommended book not just because of the cause, but because it is superbly written from the opening page to the closing page. As was stated in the opening sentence of this review, "God's Avenger Michael, The Imprecatory Angel" is a movie in the making.

A Inspiring And Scripturally Based Bible Study

"Who's on Board?" by Dr. Joseph Hyskell Jr. is an inspiring and scripturally based bible study. The author discusses twelve checkpoints that help the reader to understand what it is to be a "born-again" believer. Filled with scripture application, Author Dr. Joseph Hysekll Jr., has carefully laid down a solid foundation built upon the Holy Scriptures. The twelve checkpoints then can be discussed in a small group setting or read individually. The author indicates that many profess to be a Christian, but their life does not demonstrate a life lead by the "indwelling" of the Holy Spirit. This book will identify the "born-again" believer and demonstrates the difference between knowing about God, and really knowing Christ in the power of His resurrection.

An exciting and short read, this book is an excellent ministering tool that can be used to bring others into the Kingdom of God. This study, as suggested by the author, is recommended for groups not bigger than ten to keep the teachings on a very personal level. Written with much wisdom from scripture and from a man that has over 52 years in ministry as a Pastor, teacher and missionary, Dr. Joseph Hyskell Jr.s' teaching has captured the essence of what it means to be "born-again."

Section II of the book includes uplifting and inspirational poetry by the author written all to glorify the love and power of God. This encouraging selection of poetry will be sure to touch your heart, just as the Psalms identify with the condition of one's heart and emotions. A true writer at heart, Dr. Joseph Hyskell Jr. captures the wisdom and love of the scripture through sharing his brilliantly poignant poetry. This section is a testament to the love and truth of the scriptures and is a true gem, one that shall be treasured by readers inspired by poetry.

The ideals set forth by Author Joseph Hyskell Jr. have been tested and tried by the author and proven to be overwhelmingly victorious. Become a true believer and inspire others to have their lives changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This book, with much prayer as the author notes, will help you do just that.

Author Chris M. Tatevosian's “Life Interrupted, It’s Not All About Me” - Multiple Sclerosis “MS

Author Chris M. Tatevosian in his book, "Life Interrupted, It's Not All About Me" chronicles his bout with Multiple Sclerosis "MS". Giving an inside look into his diagnosis and progression of the disease, Chris thought he was unstoppable as a young college student. Chris, early in his freshman year of college, started coming down with strange symptoms that the doctor's could not diagnose. Shortly after a visit to another doctor that summer break, while at home, the author re-tells the story of how he realized that he did actually have MS when his father broke him out of his denial by telling him, "You have MS." At such a tender age, only a freshman in college, Chris had realized that his life had forever changed.

Until then Chris had high hopes for his life and this story is an example of how one man's life has been interrupted and dramatically changed by the disease known as MS. The author in his book illustrates that dealing with a chronic illness can not only disrupt one's life, but also can become a chronic issue in a marriage. The author takes a hard look at what attitudes and actions can affect one with a chronic illness, while shedding light on what it can do to a marriage.

The author candidly describes situations, circumstances, and actions that arose within his own marriage, that caused misery to his spouse and eventually ended in the divorce of a marriage that everyone thought would never end. The author humbly admits that many actions were of his own doing. The author whole-heartedly writes about his own "poor me attitude" and openly shares his thoughts, emotions and reactions in his own life due to MS. I find this book to be so earnestly honest and refreshing, in that, the author does not hold back in an attempt to save face. This work from the author does a superb job of capturing the confusion, loss, anger, and frustration that a person can go through while fighting a chronic illness. Thank you Chris for sharing your struggles with us.

The author's purpose in writing this book is to help others dealing with chronic illness and how their attitude towards their spouse can be destroying their marriage or relationships. This book gives the reader a pro-active approach and helps them identify their own behavior as positive or negative. This book will encourage anyone, chronic illness or not, to consider their own relationships and shares how to deal with poor attitudes and actions pro-actively before it grows like a cancer and destroys a marriage or relationship.

Several vitally important key techniques characterize the book; one being that open communication is a must between spouses and especially to a couple dealing with a chronic illness. The author illustrates that recognizing the other's need just as much as the disabled person can be a marriage saver. The author so humbly admits that, "It's Not All About Me." This book will encourage you to open up to your spouse and give you the knowledge of how to go about communication in your marriage when dealing with chronic illness.

The author continues to make a profound statement in that, "Awareness of, and providing attention to, your relationship-destroying actions are the keys to saving your relationship." (P.79) Whatever your situation may be, we can all learn from our own mistakes and the mistakes of others. If we were to think about the above quote and put it into motion into our own lives, just think of how many relationships could be saved. This book will impact your life on a highly positive level.

This well written book offers encouragement to any who are dealing with a chronic illness or who might have a loved one affected by any disease. Life is not easy, especially when dealing with the roller coaster ride of a day-to-day illness. You will find out that you are not alone and there is hope beyond a chronic illness.

"Life Interrupted, It's Not All About Me" is a recommended must read for anyone with a chronic illness. Kudos to you Chris for writing this heart rendering and honest memoir! As one with a chronic illness myself, you caused me to look at my own reactions to my loved ones. This book will open your eyes to see any damaging behavior in your own life and give you the courage to do something about it. I find this book profound in that it is a gentle nudge (or rather gentle slap in the face) to others to look at their own actions in their lives and remember, "It's Not All About Me."

The Age of Divine Grace by Author Judy Azar LeBlanc

There are about as many definitions of Divine Grace as there are Christians. However, according to God's own word, there is only one, and that one solely defines who He is. It is embedded in His character, in His nature and above all, it is in His disposition to show His graciousness and loving kindness toward all of humanity. It is His Nature to love mankind in the same manner as He loved His first creation Adam. The original creation was corrupted by the first act of disobedience in the heavens – then by man. But God's love for His creation ran so deep in His heart that when the relationship between Himself and His creation was broken, He forgave us and reconciled it alone by becoming flesh, bound it by the crucifixion and death of His only begotten Son, and then sealed it with His own Spirit by the resurrection of Christ. By this sole act completed one hundred percent by Christ, humanity now has the unmerited privilege of living in a new age – the Age of Divine Grace.

When I read the words that God spoke to Jeremiah about putting His law within them and on their hearts, it brings to mind this definition of marriage that someone once presented to me: "Marriage is a bonding of two souls by the spirit of love. Together their love brings forth a power that one does not have alone. If the marriage is bound by the written law, then it binds but does not bond; but if it is bound by the law that is written on the tablet of your heart, then it bonds but does not bind. Know that law and you will need no other law." The Old Testament believers were bound by the written law, and because of it, I can understand why it was so difficult for them to bond with God. The Hebrew word for law is towrah and is defined to mean "a body of legal instructions." If I think of this in terms of a marriage, then this tells me that it becomes a marriage that is bound by the written law as opposed to a marriage that is bound by the heart.

How incredibly fortunate we can count ourselves to be as we live in an age where in God's own character, His disposition is to show loving kindness toward all of mankind. We are now free – free to be loved by God – to love Him back freely, and to give to and receive love from each other as brothers and sisters in the body of Christ without having a body of legal instructions and penance to follow, and more importantly, without any condemnation or judgment. God's free gift to humanity is – The Age of Divine Grace which makes it possible for us to be freely and eternally reconciled to Him, and to become a part of His new creation.

Women, Are You In An Unequally-yoked Marriage? Read Mission Possible

Women, are you in an unequally-yoked marriage? Are you tired of attending church alone? Do you yearn for a relationship with your husband that's spiritually satisfying? You can influence your home for Christ even within a spiritually mismatched marriage.

This book will encourage and challenge the reader to embrace God's promises for their spouse and future together. You will:

~ Discover how to believe with radical faith for your spouse's salvation
~ Learn the secret to "staying the course" while you wait for your promise
~ Find out why many women don't like to share their "secret sorrow"
~ Overcome your own fears and doubts about your husband's future with God
~ Join other women in the knowledge that God has a perfect plan of unity for you and your spouse.

At just 80 pages this short book is an "easy read", but has much to say. You will refer back to it over and over again... This "life changing" book is one you will not want to put down... The "mission" is one in which you, the reader, will join one woman's quest to reach her husband for Christ.

Excerpt from "Mission Possible" -

The spiritual skirmish had begun. Don't underestimate the enemy. I did not fully understand spiritual warfare and would learn about that as time progressed. I began to grow in my understanding of God'sWord and how Satan opposes a couple's holy union. I would learn about "putting on the whole armor of God" (Ephesians 6:10-19). I would learn that "standing firm" was mandatory - - not an option. My spiritual clothing was necessary for survival as "half of a saved couple". God desires for you to become "one flesh" – at the altar and in the spirit realm. Satan can't bear the thought of it. This is where your perseverance plays a huge part.

The enemy will mercilessly bombard you with thoughts, feelings, emotions and physical disdain for your mate. You must take every thought captive (II Corinthians 10:5) and stop looking at your mate as the enemy. Don't let his actions and words provoke you into disobedience.

Paul writes in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for building up, that it may impart grace to the hearers." Matthew 18:9 states, "and if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you." So it goes with your tongue.

Stop committing spiritual murder against your mate! Bite it off and cast it away! Don't sin by grieving God as you curse the very person God wills to join you to, as ONE!

Mid-heaven by Author Ken Kuhlken

High on the western slope of Mount Rose, five miles off the road that circles Lake Tahoe, eighteen-year-old Jodi McGee hides in a crude cabin between groves of fir and aspen. Midheaven tells the story of how and why she came to her hideout, and of what she must face before she can leave—if she ever chooses to leave.

Only a year before, Jodi was a schoolgirl who believed and trusted in faith and love. But her faith was about to be tested to its limits: by her gambler father; by a Jesus People roommate whose devotion proves rigid and loveless; by her best friend, Charlie, who returns from Vietnam bitter and drug-addicted; and most of all by Philip Oswald, the troubled high school teacher she loves.

Told in Jodi's own words, Midheaven chronicles the year of love and death that sends Jodie on a journey inside of herself and outside, into the wilderness.

With eloquence and passion, author Ken Kuhlken has mixed love, crime, loyalty, anger, and sacrifice into the authentic portrait of a remarkable young woman.

Midheaven was honored as a finalist for the Ernest Hemingway Award for Best First Fiction book by an American Author. As chair of the selection committee, Anne Tyler praised the novel's "pace, clarity and assurance".

Kirkus Reviews noted, "Kuhlken has, with Jodi, created a character new to us--and he provides her with grit and honesty."

Ken Kuhlken's The Loud Adios was a Private Eye Writers of America/St. Martin's Press Best First Novel. The Do-Re-Mi earned honors as a finalist for the Shamus Best Novel Award. Ken's latest Tom Hickey California Century novel, The Biggest Liar in Los Angeles, won the San Diego Book Award for Best Mystery.

New Book Release, One Smooth Stone by Marcia Laycock

When 21-year-old Alex sees an outboard beach just below his isolated Yukon cabin, he’s apprehensive. But little does he know how the appearance of lawyer George Bronsky from Seattle will change his life. Against better judgment he leaves with George and is soon facing not only his old demons but discovering new ones. He’s quickly on the lam again.

And so in One Smooth Stone, a debut novel by Canadian author Marcia Lee Laycock, we have the tale of a young man fleeing from his past only to encounter Someone who keeps dogging his steps at every turn.

Laycock’s plot is twisty and fast-paced with trouble heaped upon trouble. Major characters Alex and Kenni are complex and sympathetic, minors Bill and Ruby brilliant in their blackness. Laycock’s own experience of living in the north shows through in her plausible portrayal of Yukon life with its coterie of colorful people. The isolation sets off the rugged players and fits this somber story well.

For a somber tale it is, dealing with abuse (physical and sexual), abortion, family – and lack of it – anger, revenge and, finally, forgiveness and a new beginning. The book is boldly Christian in its answers and the reader is left with an aftertaste of hope.

~ One Smooth Stone would make a perfect Christmas stocking stuffer and a lively winter companion. Reviewed by: Violet Nesdoly blog: http://vnesdoly.blogspot.com/

~ Joanna Mallory wrote – “I have to say, One Smooth Stone is one of the best novels I've read this year. Settings rich in detail, and a heart rich in compassion for hurting characters.”

Revival: The True Fairy Tale by Lydia and Kiya Thornton is a biblically and scripturally based Christian Fiction Adventure. A well written and intriguing allegory, this tale will take you on the journey of a lifetime as you join Nina, a young girl, and Kyle, a very young boy, as they experience magnificent wonders and phenomenon on Earth, in Heaven and in Hell. An eye-opener at the very least, get ready to set some time aside as each chapter is thoroughly engaging using creative imagery and impelling dialogue, intertwining an unforgettable expedition. You won’t believe your eyes with this book, as God’s Kingdom is revealed unveiling the difference of the spiritual and the physical realm we reside in. Notably, throughout the journey, sin is exposed and the reality of Heaven and Hell are also presented. Revival: The True Fairy Tale will leave an indelible imprint on your soul and give you a strong conviction of what sin is and who and why Jesus died on the cross for your sins.

This fascinating venture begins with Nina, a sweet, loveable little girl who gave her heart to Jesus as a very young girl. She loves Jesus with all her heart and is encountered by an old woman who gives her a very special trinket. The small trinket lays dormant in her Hope Chest, but one day, she decides to do what the old woman had told her to do.

She soon finds herself in a far away land, a fairy tale land. This is where young Kyle, a small boy, who she takes under her wing, and Nina set out on a trip full of breathtaking and inspiring experiences to unravel the mystery of what the old woman had spoken to her. Following many clues along their path, this tale intertwines the Holy Scriptures in such a way that is not only intriguing, but also convincing and convicting as well.

The authors, Lydia and Kiya Thornton have written this tale in such a way as to expose many of the lies of Satan, exposing sin and revealing the truth about God’s Holy Word. This book will not only educate a person about the Lord and His Holiness, but also about what the world accepts versus what is acceptable to the Lord.

Truly a creative masterpiece, this book will keep you coming back for more. This book is of very high quality and maintains integrity in scripture that is non-compromising. This book is a blessing to the Body of Christ and can be used as a ministering tool to those who don’t believe in God, Heaven or Hell. This book causes strong conviction of the heart and will cause many to re-evaluate their lives in retrospect to the scripture contained in this highly electric and raw adventure story.
